• No free equivalent – The location in which this memorial was found has exchanged handas between combatants many times (Sri Lankan civil war). There is no indication as to whether thismemorial is still intact.

Content – Content meets Wikipedia content requirements and is encyclopedic.

• Media-specific policy - The material meets Wikipedia's media-specific policy.
• One-article minimum – The picture si used only in one article
• Significance – It is signifies the local peoples attempt to remember the victims of the massacre when the massacre itself is under scrutiny.
• It shows the memorial that was built to remember the victims of the multiple massacres
• Although we have pictures of massacre victims, because of their gory nature this is the next best picture to illustrate the event.
• It is a historic picture that shows the effect of civil war on civilians
• The memorial has the names of all the victims
