Summary[edit]
A full page press advert for The KLF's single "Justified and Ancient". This advertisement was placed in the New Musical Express (dated 23 November 1991) by or on behalf of KLF Communications to promote the KLF's latest single. Fair use is claimed to illustrate The KLF's promotional tactic of full-page adverts (mentioned throughout the article The KLF). It is also used to illustrate the ice-cream theme, which is discussed in the articles Justified and Ancient and 99 Flake.
Although the picture is subject to copyright I (Kingboyk) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- it is a low resolution copy of a widely circulated advertisement;
- it does not limit the copyright owner's rights in any way.
Licensing[edit]
