Description

Men of the Day No. 508: Caricature of Captain Francis Pavy (?? -1902), formerly an officer in the 74th Highlanders, served in India during the Great Revolt of 1857-8, promoted to Captain in 1860.

Caption read "Railway Trusts". Pavy promoted investment in railways being built around the world and served on boards of share trusts.
