Description	This image, taken by photographer Leslie Clague on July 28, 1985 at Food for Thought,^[1] a former restaurant and music venue located on Washington, D.C.'s Dupont Circle,^[2] portrays the band at their first ever show.^[3] From left to right are Chris Bald, Ian MacKaye, and Mike Hampton.^[1] Band's drummer, Ivor Hanson, is out of frame. The photograph copyright is believed to belong to the record label Dischord Records, or to the photographer Leslie Clague.
