Español: Cero emisiones CO2 y cero residuos radioactivos, así es el nuevo contrato de suministro de energía eléctrica para todos los edificios municipales y equipamientos del Ayuntamiento de Madrid y sus organismos autónomos. Dividido en cuatro lotes por un importe total de 82 millones de euros, el acuerdo va a marcar un hito en la metrópoli y supone un cambio trascendental en las políticas económicas y medioambientales del Consistorio. Por primera vez, las empresas que van a suministrar la electricidad solo comercializan energía de origen 100% renovable, lo que garantiza que las emisiones CO2 y que la generación de residuos radioactivos son nulas. De esta forma –ha constatado el delegado de Economía y Hacienda, Jorge García Castaño–, “cuidamos el medio ambiente y generamos un entorno empresarial y social que favorece los objetivos del Plan A del Aire y Cambio Climático de la Ciudad de Madrid en el marco con los compromisos internacionales como la Agenda 2030 de Desarrollo Sostenible y el Acuerdo de París de lucha contra el cambio climático”. |
