Duckweed Pond — Riverbend Wildlife Management Area protects a large area of the Oconee River Floodplain. The floodplain supports many habitats. There are a series of riparian wetlands, some of which are ephemeral while others are seemingly permanent. This pond was completely covered with duckweed but did have fish living in it.
