Place du citoyen, Baie-Saint-Paul, Québec

"En 2009, à l’occasion du 25e anniversaire du Cirque du Soleil, Baie-Saint-Paul a commémoré ce géant aujourd’hui reconnu mondialement. La Ville a aménagé la place du citoyen, y accueillant l’œuvre de Danielle April, artiste multidisciplinaire originaire de Québec.

Allusion à l’équilibre spectaculaire des artistes de la piste et clin d’œil au temps des Échassiers de la Baie, deux échasses sont posées en équilibre sur un anneau de métal placé selon un angle précaire qui symbolise la terre sur laquelle nous vivons. Une citation de David Suzuki dans la pierre souligne « Le pouvoir que détient chacun d’entre nous sur l’avenir de la terre ». "
