English: In 1982 Cromemco announced new error correcting memory cards for its S-100 bus computers. This is a photo of the 512MSU (memory storage unit) that used 22 bits to store each 16 bit word thus allowing error correction of a single bit error in a word. The memory storage units were used in conjunction with another S-100 card, the MCU (memory control unit). One MCU could support up to 8 MSU's. In 1982 Cromemco announced MSU cards with 256 KB and 512 KB capacity (the 256MSU and 512MSU) and later developed an MSU with 2 megabyte capacity (the 2048MSU).
