English: This image has been made from two photos. These two photos were originally uploaded by Sailko. These two photos are in other versions below.

These two photos are of a wall in room 7 in the suburban baths.

On this wall there are eight wall paintings that are located above paintings of numbered boxes. The image on the left shows scenes numbered VIII to V . The image on the right shows scenes numbered IV to I.

This room is thought to have been a dressing room for people attending the baths.[1][2][3]

These wall paintings were found in 1986[1] in the newly excavated Suburban Baths. The paintings are dated to 62 to 79 CE.[3]

The scenes that are shown on this wall are:

  • A scene showing sex between two figures. A ferret is on the knee of one of the figures.
  • An erotic scene on a bed.
  • Fellatio
  • Cunnilingus
  • A lesbian sex scene. The patches of dark green color are remains of the repainting of the wall.
  • Sex between a female and two males.
  • Cunnilingus, fellatio and anal sex between two females and two males.
  • A nude male with an enlarged scrotum holding a scroll.
