English: Arms of Clobbery of Bradstone, Devon: Argent, a chevron between three bats displayed sable. (Vivian, Lt.Col. J.L., (Ed.) The Visitations of the County of Devon: Comprising the Heralds' Visitations of 1531, 1564 & 1620, Exeter, 1895, p.200). Image of bats based on depiction in Steyning arms as engraved on monumental brass in Washfield Church, Devon, to Alice Fry (1533-1605), a daughter of William Fry, lord of the manor of Yarty in Devon and wife of Phillip Steyning (1509-1589) of Holnicote, Somerset.
