Summary

Description
English: Detail of the center swing span of the Amtrak Susquehanna River Bridge (originally built by the Pennsylvania Railroad). Visible in the foreground are piers of the 1866 bridge built by the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad, the first bridge across the river at Havre de Grace, Maryland. Other bridges visible in this photograph, foreground to background, are: the Thomas J. Hatem US 40 highway bridge, the CSX/B&O railroad bridge, and the Millard E. Tydings I-95 highway bridge.
