Режиссер фильма, Павел Лунгин, долго искал подходящее место для съемок фильма. По сюжету ему требовалось очень суровое место, в котором главный герой, которого играл Мамонов, будет замаливать свои грехи. Рабочеостро́вск — посёлок городского типа в Кемском районе Карелии на берегу Белого моря. Возник в 1888 году благодаря основанию лесопильного завода. До 1933 года носил название Попов Остров. Находится в 12 км от города Кемь, до которого можно добраться Октябрьской ж/д. Отсюда можно попасть морем на Соловки: в период навигации из Рабочеостро́вска на Большой Соловецкий остров ежедневно отправляются 2 рейсовых теплохода. |
