Man's a Wolf to Man is the third studio album by English musician Andy Taylor, and his first solo album in 33 years. It was released on 8 September 2023, through BMG. Entirely self-produced, it features guest appearances from Tina Arena and Gary Stringer of Reef, among others.
Development[edit]
Taylor began writing Man's a Wolf to Man in 2017, around the time that he was diagnosed with stage four metastatic prostate cancer.[1] However, in 2023, he was administered the radioactive drug Lutetium 177, a then relatively new cancer treatment. After each session of treatment, which were six weeks apart, he was "radioactive for several days" and had to sleep alone for two weeks. It is expected to have extended his life by five years.[2]
The COVID-19 pandemic pushed back the release date and allowed Taylor time to re-tool the album.[3]
Song meanings[edit]
"Influential Blondes" is "about the rise of Fascism in the modern world".[3]
